DESIGN OF BUBBLE IRRIGATION SYSTEM WITH EMITTERS AT GROUND LEVEL

In the Brazilian semi-arid, sustainable growth rates and higher standards of living in society may be attained by use irrigation aiming at obtaining best economical function without disregarding several factors, such as labor, soil, water supply. The objective this work is presenting an alternative design procedure for low-head bubble systems so to make technology more accessible users. An electronic spreadsheet was developed made available sizing laterals delivery hoses ground level based on principles mass conservation, energy conservation friction head loss. 9 combinations spacings between plants rows were used with different lateral lengths, resulting 22 designs operating 9.8 kPa (1 m.w.c). Designs subjected hydraulic efficiency tests. Uniformities application computed using Christiansen’s uniformity coefficient distribution coefficients. ranked according proposed classification Mantovani. Irrigation uniformities, above recommended limits low variability across designs, allow us conclude that system feasible.
